Doctors Surgery Fit Out – Patient Centric and Not too Clinical

Delighted with the overall result for my client when I finished the fit out of his new surgery in Castleknock, Dublin 15.

My client, a GP who had his surgery in a standard three bed semi in a housing estate, was fed up with his surgery. It had been the same since he moved in 15 years ago.  The layout had never really worked for him or his patients.

As a result, he had a very definite list of requirements. We worked with him to fulfill all of them, in the very small constricted space that was his surgery room.

Top on his list was managing hygiene, patient privacy and practicalities of a modern day GP practice. Colours and themes had to be soothing, calming and relaxing and not too clinical.

We custom built a desk and wash hand basin with storage areas.  We put in a special blind through which the patients could see the lovely garden but nobody could see in. This blind, a Uniview Blind, preserved the natural light.

We used a practical laminate flooring, in a limewashed grey and complimentary tones of off white and grey on the walls.

He's still absolutely delighted with it and so are his patients.
